Celebrating Women’s Contributions: Behind the Scenes of “Happy Women’s Day”

At Cineries, storytelling is at the heart of everything we do. This Women’s Day, we had the privilege of capturing a beautiful story that highlights the dedication and warmth of a woman who nurtures young minds at the Kumon Bashundhara Center. Commissioned by BRAC Kumon Limited, this short audiovisual project, titled "Happy Women’s Day," was more than just a production—it was a heartfelt tribute to women’s unwavering contributions to education.

Bringing the Vision to Life

The project came to life under the guidance of key individuals from both BRAC Kumon and Cineries. With ASM Imamuzzaman Bipro supervising from BRAC Kumon and Fuad Hasan leading the project at Cineries, the execution was seamless. The script, crafted by Nazmul Islam Rafa, beautifully captured the essence of a woman’s role in shaping young learners. Under the direction of Bayazid Hossain, our team meticulously planned each frame to ensure that the visuals resonated with the emotions behind the story.

The Production Journey

Shooting began at 3 PM and wrapped up by 8 PM, with the entire Cineries team working in sync to make it a smooth experience. Our Executive Producer, Nazia Zafrin, ensured everything ran efficiently, while Assistant Directors Murshed Babu and Habibul Alam managed on-set coordination. Monzurul Hasan Swopnil, our cinematographer, captured the warmth and dedication of the woman at the center of the story, making sure every shot reflected her genuine care for the children.

We love challenges!

However, as with any production, we faced a unique challenge—working with kids on camera! Convincing the child to talk comfortably in front of the lens required patience and trust-building. Instead of rushing the process, our team prioritized forming a bond with the child first. At Cineries, we believe that trust and friendship come before simply “getting the job done,” and this approach allows us to capture authentic moments of interaction between the woman and the children.

Post-Production Magic

Once the footage was captured, our talented Editor, Abu Raihan Sudha, pieced the story together with precision. Colorists Abu Raihan Sudha and Monzurul Hasan Swopnil added depth and warmth to the visuals, ensuring that the final product looked as heartfelt as the story itself.

A Tribute to Women Who Inspire

“Happy Women’s Day” is more than just a video; it’s a celebration of the women who play a vital role in shaping the next generation. Whether in classrooms, homes, or workplaces, their dedication deserves recognition. Cineries is honored to have brought this story to life in collaboration with BRAC Kumon Limited, and we hope this audiovisual piece inspires appreciation for the women who quietly but powerfully impact our lives.
